Stand Up Comedian Super Tekla breaks his silence about ‘Sunday Pinasaya’ controversy

Stand-up comedian Super Tekla is facing another controversy after allegedly showing unprofessionalism during a live episode of the Kapuso variety show “Sunday Pinasaya.”  As a result, he was allegedly fired by the show.

According to a report from Philippine Entertainment Portal (PEP.ph), Super Tekla reportedly did not make his scheduled appearance on the show. As stated in the report, the comedian arrived on set earlier than the other co-hosts and did not like what the production did to him during the rehearsal. He was reportedly told to wait for Alden Richards’ turn to rehearse which caused him to walk out.

The following day, during the live episode in question, Super Tekla was nowhere to be found.
However, his talent manager Rose Conde explained what happened. According to him, Super Tekla was not feeling well during the rehearsal because he was so stressed out during the taping of  “Daig Kayo Ng Lola Ko.”

“Hindi naman walk-out yun. Four to 5 hours na siya naghintay sa rehearsal.“Nasa second floor, make-up room lang siya. Wala naman kumakausap sa kanila. “Sama ng pakiramdam niya, kasi Friday, nag-taping pa ng Daig ng Lola. Bibe sila. Naka-costume tapos pawis na pawis.”

Upon further explanation, Super Tekla felt worse the following day, causing him to miss the live taping of the show.

“Ayun, kinabukasan nilamigan pa lalo sa make-up room kaya nagpaalam na sa akin na aalis na siya. Pinaalam ko kay Tita Carms, talent coordinator. Sama talaga ng pakiramdam, umuwi na. “Hanggang kinabukasan, hindi ko na magising, kasi nga tulog, sama ng pakiramdam. 10 AM nagsabi na ako kay Tita Carms na hangga’t maaga, sabihan na ang production.”

To clear the issue, his talent manager said that Super Tekla was not really a regular cast member of the show. As of now, he is currently busy finishing his upcoming show “Inday Will Always Love You”.
