Small alleys in China don’t always come with sidewalks, some of them are just a narrow street.
One family who owned a small mom and pop’s shop were open for business and their 2 year old daughter, Nana, was playing in front of the store when one of their neighbors ran over the small child.
The driver pulled up to park directly in front of the entrance of the shop, knocking down and driving over the small girl. She then threw her car into reverse, running over the child again, and then finally driving forward over Nana one last time, all in an attempt to park her car. And all the while ignoring the grandmother of the 2 year old girl who was screaming at her to stop moving the car.
When the female driver stepped out of her car and learned that she’d hit a child the first thing she said was: “Please don’t tell the police I did it! Tell them my husband was driving! I have lots of money and I can pay you whatever you want.”
Nana’s father rushed to pull his daughter inside and called emergency services.
An ambulance rushed Nana to the hospital with severe injuries and where she is still in critical condition.
The entire time the female driver continued to beg the family to not report the incident to police as she didn’t have a driver’s license and didn’t want to get in trouble.
How lacking a license trumps nearly killing a 2 year old beats the heck out of us. This woman needs to get her priorities straightened out. Maybe she can do that in jail.
