Locals Called Police After They Saw a Dead Man In Filthy Drain, Turns Out He's Just Drunk

A gruesome murder turned out to be a funny “accident”.

A man was partially submerged in dirty water and garbage in a narrow canal. The attention of the local police was called and they got alarmed thinking the man was dead.

The man was so wasted he fell on the canal and slept like he was just in his home.



Discovering dead bodies every day became no surprise to many Filipinos especially after President Rodrigo Duterte’s war on drugs tightened. That is why when a man was seen unconscious in a canal, everyone thought he was dead and no one wanted to go near him. Locals alerted the authorities, who immediately responded to the “scene of the crime,” only to find a drunk man passed out in the canal.



If not everyone, most of us have our own “drunk stories” that can be quite embarrassing, but none as funny as this one. It was so ridiculous that this drunk story was newsworthy! At first glance, the man looked as if he was thrown into the canal after he was killed, but he actually had too much fun the night before.

Authorities assume that he was too drunk and probably fell into the canal before completely losing consciousness. He found the murky and garbage-filled waters the best place to settle for the night. Rescuers had a hard time pulling him up as he was deep into the canal and was quite heavy.
